MENTOR -- A driver has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated after police say his car rammed into a  home in Mentor, injuring those inside.

Police have identified the driver as Daniel A. Vanderhoof Jr., 28, of Willoughby.

In addition to OVI, Vanderhoof is charged with driving under suspension, driving without a license, reckless operation and leaving the scene of an accident.

A passenger in the car with Vanderhoof has not been charged.

Police were called to the 7000 block of Comanche Trail Sunday morning just before 3 a.m. for reports of a car that had hit a house.

Police say the car went through the entire house, trapping and injuring the four people, including two children, sleeping inside.

Christopher Lukasiewicz, 31, is in stable condition at MetroHealth Medical Center. Christopher Jr., 3, is in the intensive care unit at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.

His sister, Cassy, 1, is also in stable condition there.

Tonya Blare, 30, the children's mother, was treated and released.

In her 911 call, Blare said "The car, drove right through the middle of our..."

Operator: "Okay, calm down. Is anybody in your house hurt?"

Blare said, "Yes. My son's underneath this car and so is my fiancé!" I can't hear my son anymore. My fiancé was screaming. I went next door to call. I'm badly bruising myself. I'm worried about my son. I think he's underneath the car."
