Strong storms moved through Tuesday evening

CLEVELAND - A round of strong thunderstorms with very heavy rains is moving through the area this evening.

Find the latest information here on warnings, any damage and power outages throughout the evening. Please check back frequently for updates.

Here is the latest information:

7:51 p.m. - Cleveland has now seen 15 consecutive days of rain. The last dry day was on June 24th.

7:41 p.m. - A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Trumbull County until 8:45 p.m. This storm was over Newton Falls and moving east at 30 m.p.h. Warren, West Farmington, Lordstown and Bristolville are in the path of this storm.

7:39 p.m. - FirstEnergy now reporting 7,945 customers without power including several hundred in Aurora, Barberton and further south near Seville. Check the latest @ http://outages.firstenergycorp.com/oh.html

7:26 p.m - Severe thunderstorm warning for Geauga and Portage County until 8:15 p.m. This storm was located near Mantua and moving northeast at 35 m.p.h.

7:24 p.m. - North Olmsted police confirms that police, fire and non-emergency lines are down. However, 911 is still working.

7:23 p.m. FirstEnergy now reporting 4,830 customers without power. 

7:10 p.m. The severe thunderstorm warning for northern Summit County that expired at 7:15 p.m. has weakened and no longer appears severe. However, gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

6:53 p.m. - 3/4 inch hail reported by a trained spotter in New Philadelphia by trained spotter in Tuscarawas County.

6:27 p.m. - FirstEnergy reporting 3,413 customers without out power at this hour.

6:20 p.m. - Severe thunderstorm warning for Summit County. This storms was located 8 miles northwest of Cuyahoga Falls and moving northeast at 20 m.p.h.

6:06 p.m - Severe thunderstorm warning for Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina until 7 p.m. Radar indicated a severe thunderstorm near Grafton and will affect Medina, Strongsville, Cleveland, North Ridgeville and Avon Lake.

5:49 p.m. - One lane of State Route 60 in Layland in Coshocton County is closed due to high water.

5:48 p.m. - State Route 52 near Walhoding in Coshocton County is closed due to high water.

5:23 p.m. - FirstEnergy reporting 2,715 customers without out power at this hour.

5:50 p.m. - A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Wayne County until 6:45 p.m. Quarter size hail and winds in excess of 60 m.p.h. are possible. Watch out in Wooster, Orrville, Mount Eaton and Dalton.

5:27 p.m. - FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS are now in effect for Ashland and Richland Counties until 9 p.m. after rainfall rates of two inches per hour have been estimated by radar. Area impacted include Loudonville, Lexington, Fredricktown, Danville and Bellville.

5:23 p.m. - FirstEnergy reporting 1,634 customers without out power at this hour.

4:47 p.m. - FLOOD WARNINGS are in effect for Ashland, Erie, Holmes, Huron, Richland, Seneca, Wayne Counties and a FLASH FLOOD WATCH for Ashland, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Erie, Holmes, Huron, Ottawa, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Tuscarawas Counties.

4:40 p.m. - Major flooding reported in Bucyrus in Crawford County where a trailer park on W. Mansfield Street evacuated as flood waters inundate the driveway. State Route 4 near the hospital is flooded as well as water treatment plant grounds.

4:30 p.m. - One and half inches of rain falls in Orange in Coschoton County in just 45 minutes leading to some localized flooding.

4:13 p.m. - Severe thunderstorm warnings issued for Coschoton and Tuscarawas County until 4:45 p.m. A fast moving storm is producing torrential rain and potentially damaging wind.
