Brunswick police arrest man following stabbing

BRUNSWICK -- Brunswick police took a man into custody following a stabbing Wednesday afternoon.

Kark M. Phelps, 27, was wanted in connection with the incident, which occurred about 3 p.m. in a wooded area outside Buehler's Fresh Foods on Center Drive.

He was taken into custody about 7:20 p.m. on Aylesworth Drive and is in custody at the Brunswick Jail.

According to police, he will be charged with felonious assault and incarcerated at the Medina County Jail.

The male victim who was stabbed in the chest was taken to Southwest General Hospital. His condition was not immediately available.

Police do not know what led to the stabbing.
