CUYAHOGA COUNTY -- Cuyahoga Common Pleas Court Judge Peter J. Corrigan has been charged with operating a vehicle under the influence.
A Cleveland Metroparks ranger found that Corrigan's blood-alcohol content tested .152, or nearly twice the .08 legal limit.
"I made a mistake, I will take full responsibility and I will make sure it never happens again," Corrigan said.
The officer's report said that Corrigan was found slumped over the wheel of his car at 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 17 at the intersection of Valley Parkway and Cedar Point Road in North Olmsted.
The judge's eyes were glossy and bloodshot and he had slurred speech, according to the report.
The report, obtained by Channel 3 News Investigator Tom Meyer, said that Corrigan failed a series of field sobriety tests.
Corrigan's car was towed and he was hauled off to Ranger Headquarters where he was later released to a lawyer, Richard Neff.
He's scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Rocky River Municipal Court on Jan. 14.
