WKYC Web StaffAnthony Durand has worked inside Avon Cleaners for just over 31 years and he does it all, from pressing to delivering.
And he takes a lot of pride in his work.
"I like getting spots out... and I love it when customers say other places couldn't get them out.. I say let us give it a try," he said.
That dedication to the job was handed down to him by the owner of the cleaners, Mark Lieberman, who recently passed away after battles with diabetes and pneumonia.
This family business has been around for 56 years, started by Mark's father.
You look at the walls and you quickly see why this became the "Cleaners to the Stars." Some of the biggest names would come here, like Reba, Kenny Rogers, and Neil Diamond, when they were in town.
This was the place they trusted with their laundry.
They also took care of the uniforms for the Indians. Larry Herb has known Mark and done business with him for many years. He says the business plan was simple.
"Cater to the hotels and treat the neighborhood customers right," Herb said.
And now Mark and his Dad may be gone, but the family says this business will continue to pass through the generations.
As long as there are customers, Anthony says the service will stay the same.
