COLUMBUS --  Voters in about a third of Ohio's counties have special elections on the ballot.

The Ohio Secretary of State office says there are about 28 issues total across 23 counties Tuesday. Of those, 19 are school issues.

A particular big one: a 12.37-mill levy for Tecumseh Local Schools in Clark County. The district wants voters to approve a levy that would cost the owner of a $100,000 property nearly $433 a year.

The Springfield News-Sun reports that the Tecumseh district faces a state fiscal takeover without approval this year of new operating money. Voters have turned down nine other ballot issues since 2004 in the western Ohio district.

In southwest Ohio, Franklin City Schools seeks approval of 7.92-mill levy, or $242.55 per $100,000 in home value.

Below are the issues on the ballot for Northeast Ohio voters according to the Ohio Secretary of State's office (See also attached PDF.)
