It is starting to feel like we just can't catch a break.
We see a peek of sun, we get a downpour. We have a couple dry moments in between showers, we get a deluge from a storm.
I wish I had better news to share, but unfortunately it looks like we are still very much stuck in this same pattern we've been in.
Fireworks tonight will have to be a last minute decision. Yes, rain is likely, but a total washout for ALL of northern Ohio is not, so just keep an eye on the radar. Some areas will postpone, others will stay on schedule.
Not only that, but areas along and west of I-71 (includes Cuyahoga County) have an active flash flood watch because heavy rain is possible tonight and early tomorrow. With already saturated ground and more moisture pouring in, water may rise quickly in some areas. Keep an eye on your sump pump tonight!!!
Friday we have more rain in the forecast, but it looks like the rain is more likely early with just scattered rain/storms later in the day.
Saturday and Sunday the rain and storms will be scattered.
As of now, the hotter temps are still on track for early next week, but finally (FINALLY!) we may be seeing an end to our soggy pattern in sight.
As the pattern begins to shift, a cold front will sweep in Wednesday night and bring drier air back to northern Ohio for Thursday. It is a loooong way off, but at least there is something to give us hope!
