KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Pilot Flying J CEO Jimmy Haslam, owner of the Cleveland Browns, appeared at a 4 p.m. press conference in Knoxville.
He says he is not stepping down from his CEO position at Pilot Flying J. He said the timing of the search warrants' release was "surprising."
He believes the federal investigation is about a "very small percentage of our overall diesel fuel business."
He did not address his ownership of the Browns.
He did not address issues regarding ESPNCleveland.com's report that the NFL may require Haslam to step down from day-to-day operations of the Cleveland Browns as the investigation continues.
Haslam anounced in advance that he would not take any questions from the media at this press conference.
But when a reporter asked if he was going to take the Browns to the Super Bowl, Haslam laughed and said "Eventually, yes."
