Kent: Five generations get together for Thanksgiving

KENT -- There's not much space at Henry Brown's home once you get more than thirty family members inside.

"There's a lot of love and you can't beat love," said Henry.

Five generations of love join each year at Thanksgiving under Brown's roof.

"It's special every year to know that we all are still together," said Linda Lockett, one of Henry's eight children.

"I am thankful for being here to spend this day with my family. Being here to collect these memories to carry on," said Renita Claridy.

Henry and Gloria Brown have been married more than 60 years. They had eight children, who had 15 grandchildren. The number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren keeps growing.

It's three-month old Beverly's first Thanksgiving.

And they say she'll learn quickly this family enjoys each other as much as the meal itself.

"Oh yeah, I cooked for many years but no more," said Gloria.

"Everybody says just bring a dish...somebody makes the meat and everybody else makes a side dish," said Lockett.

What are they grateful for today?

"Family. That they haven't...you know...they've dealt with me for so many years," said Miles Brown, a great-grandchild.

They don't all fit at one table, but the meals are enjoyed in close company, just like Henry hoped.

"I always wanted a big family," he said.

"You eat a lot and you talk a lot and you laugh a lot," said Lockett.
